The best James Bond movie hands down 🇦🇺
Did Sir Elton John ever receive the nod to perform a Bond Theme?
At least the opening song by Duran Duran was amazing 👍 Bond soundtracks are always excellent obviously.
Goldeneye 15 ?! Video ends here
Somebody needs to make an album of these rejected Bond songs.
Joe was really hatin on this one haha
The NTTD above Skyfall thing I dont understand.
I wish they had used Lazenby's real voice when he was disguised. That's the only thing that annoyed me. If Blofeld didn't recognized him then why would he need a different voice?
1. From Russia with Love 2. Goldfinger 3. On Her Majesty 4. Spy Who Loved Me 5. Goldeneye 6. Casino Royale I believe for most of us, Connery is in a different stratosphere than the others. Not linearly, but exponentially greater than the others. It would be like designating a Ferrari as second tier to a Lexus. I simply can't pick a movie in my top Bond which doesn't include him. Second, part of the joy of Bond is the historical appreciation of the way things were in the sixties. The suits, the thin ties, the cars, the dress, the hotels and the music. So for me, even On Her Majesty's Secret Service is classier and more deserving to be in my top 5. As Brosnan is my second favorite Bond, I also would put one of his movies in my top ones although I didn't necessarily love any of his movies, but loved him. I find Craig and Dalton so lacking in humor, so brooding, depressed, and to my eye less attractive, that I only make room for one Craig in the top six because the movie was strong. Saying Craig or Dalton films is better than Connery islike saying a modern version of “It’s a Wonderful Life” is better than the original. Blasphemy. It’s not just the story and actor, it’s everything nostalgic and historical.
Goldeneye that low is blasphemous! 😂
Stephen Pearcy does an awesome you only live twice and don't forget guns and roses live and let die. And I think Alice Cooper's man with the golden gun is better than Lulu's version.
Those piercing icy blue eyes had me at first sight as a kid. RIP Tanya
One of the worst list of all time it’s comical. Never again coming to this channel I’ve see heard enough. See ya!
Nooo… don’t leave me. I’ll do better! 😭😭😭
@@Beingjamesbond fine then since you asked nicely, I was being a bit of a Bond snob. Lol!!😆
Vesper's death is one of the most shocking scenes I've seen in the cinema. it's very strong. She took his hands, saying goodbye, closing the door and then widening her eyes as death came... Bond, desperate to save her and then coming to his senses that she died was strong. epic scene.
ua-cam.com/video/M8oibBJTEpc/v-deo.html - Martin Sheen calls you on "shaken, not stirred".
eva green was the Q of hearts in the opening credits scene.
Casino royale is good but has a problem. Not sean connery the best bond. Goldfinger number 1.
the us is way past broke (as is the uk), so felix was wrong.
Yes. It was a 2. Nearly destroyed the series with its cartoonish approach.
Noel Gallagher needs to do the next theme.
Happy with number 1 and number 2. After that it looks like sentiment over reason.
“For Your Eyes Only” was Moore’s best Bond - far and away! Among his films, it had the finest supporting cast, script, action, locations, and music (by Bill Conti, a refreshing change). It was the one time I sensed Moore making an effort to play Ian Fleming’s James Bond. John Glen followed in Peter Hunt’s footsteps by directing a great film his first time out. And it was only on his last film, “Licence To Kill,” that Glen was up to par. Everything in-between was, to put it very politely, forgettable! Moore’s ‘70s fashion sense render his films dated, along with the lack of style or imagination from Guy Hamilton and Lewis Gilbert.
The Johnny Cash one was great, but yeah not a bond theme
This film never fails to give me a good time.
Cai--Cai---Chiropractor!
I love with all of my heart the cheery gangster that goes ' - I have a brother.'
I would have loved it if they actually had gotten Don Rickles to play Shady Tree.
SPECTRE broke my Bond theater-going chain that I'd started since GoldenEye. Sam Smith's whimpering song, The Brotherhood of the Traveling Ring, Bond single-handedly destroying the base with a rifle, Bond downing the helicopter, brother Blofeld... The whole affair felt lazy and contrived, and would be more laughable if the Craig films didn't take themselves seriously to a dreary fault. Mr. Hinx was the film's bright spot but I was MAD at the end of this one, and didn't bother with No Time to Die.
Great insights. I agree on a LOT of your points.
Najaci bond Sean coneri
I think people would enjoy Quantum Of Solace more if they just accepted it as the direct sequel to Casino Royale. There are plot points from Casino Royale that carry over into Quantum, and two characters from Casino Royale, Mathis and Vesper (Eva Green may not be physically in the movie, but several other characters talk about her a lot and Bond even steals a photo of Vesper from a MI6 file and keeps it with him for the rest of the movie) have significant roles in the film.
Connery looked like the love child of Alabama governor George C. Wallace in DIF.
"If I fall" by Sunrise Avenue was a choise for Skyfall. It's more melancholic and dark than Adele's song. I don't like Sunrise Avenue's other songs but If I Fall is good! Listen to it.
Craig was never 007 just a northern england thug which is their natural personality would never be accepted in upmarket england as anything classy. The ex bbc staff forced on to thè script writers as they were on disney both of which companies have suffered as a result not to the suprise of english audiences. Sean and then Bosnan were both classic socially accaptáble upmarket spies. The rot started when Barbara Brockoli took over a rank feminist she lived on her fathers talent which she hasnt got, as so often is the case. The removable of john Barry music her embracing the blm, me too, anti trump crap, please stop it now and destroy this last crap in what was a great franchise.
Ok, no wagering: Tina Turners Goldeneye is the better choice than AOB, I do like the Beach Boys instrumental so agreed there, however you cannot knock (well maybe 'you' could) Sheryl Crows Tomorrow Never Dies is a true ode to the old style classics. Regards to Blondie doing For your eyes only, yes would have worked and Ive always thought the eventual Sheena Easton vocal is somewhat over-rated. NOTE: Alice Cooper must be thanking his lucky stars, Lulu's is hilariously over the top, but then again the whole movie was. Tom Jones Thunderball is one of the top 5..oh and they should have brought Bassey back for the big re-boot on Casino Royale , the eventual being painful to listen to. How do ya like them apples?
nice list. You are the first reviewer to point out that Goldeneye is a massively overrated film. It is a paint by numbers affair. Whenever people make fun of the over the top campiness of "view to a kill", and praise "goldeneye" i really wonder if they have actually watched "goldeneye". In the pretitle sequence, Bond drives a motorcycle off a cliff, makes himself fly faster than an airplane (which was gunning itself towards the ground), actually catch the plane, go inside and pull it out of a dead dive. It is the cheeziest action scene in any bond film ever. When I saw Goldeneye in the cinema, the whole place was laughing at the absurdity of that scene. And it continues on from there
Great review and beautiful editing, thanks!
My ranking of the Daniel craig bond films BEST to WORST Spectre Quantum No time to die Casino Skyfall What do you think of my ranking? Being James bond?
Honor la recordamos de niño cuando vimos Goldenfinger y Jason y los Argonautas en los 60s siempre bella casi 100 años . Ricardo Alegria Zambrano Popayan cauca Colombia
To me, the biggest problem with No Time to Die was specifically the story. I didn't care for it, despite having some good scenes here and there.
I am admittedly baffled by some of your rankings, but I really admired your Top 2.
Parker stood up to Big Chap like a BOSS!
It’s not the same swimming pool that appear on 007 Thunderball
clearly one of my top three favorite Bond movies.
The Energy Crisis and Martial Arts make this a very 1974 film
Really, the Moore films age better? His fashion sense alone leaves his films in the ‘70s dust! Seeing them today is a painful experience! Connery’s best performances were in “From Russia With Love” (his own favourite), “Dr No,” and yes, “Never Say Never Again.” In his other films he is pretty much phoning it in. The best Bond is George Lazenby - in the best film - but then Connery returned looking old enough to be Lazenby’s father! I’ll take “Never Say Never Again” over “Octopussy” any day! It placed more emphasis on character and plot, had a more cohesive screenplay, and boasted a superior cast. (And no Tarzan yell, gorilla costumes, or clown suits!) It grew out of Kevin McClory’s legitimate rights, based on his collaboration with Ian Fleming. And it is not the drawn-out, tiresome Bahamas travelogue known as “Thunderball.” So Barbara Broccoli can huff and sniff all she wants (like her dad), but she has brought us such snoozefests as “Die Another Day,” “Quantum of Solace,” and “SPECTRE.” I know fans who gave up on Bond because of her films!
Mention1- Mr Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (Thunderball) - Dione Warwick Mention2 - Surrender - K.D Lang 5 - Run James Run (You Only Live Twice) - The Becah Boys
No time to die ranked 8th ??...What ?...This is the worst of'em all by far, and an insult to all Bond movies !! 2:52
Totally disagree that Vespa and Tracy are automatically at the top just because it was written that Bond fell in love with them. That doesn't make sense. What makes much more sense is that when you think of James Bond, which Bond women immediately pop into your head?(pun intended) This is totally subjective, just like your ranking. For me, Bach, Berry, Seymour, Andress, and John jump to mind. But I have to admit, once Daniel Craig became Bond, I had to stop watching. He lacks humor, and the series has sucked since then. Eva Green is like a stiff robot. I don't see the appeal. Also, funny thing: I always thought Maryam d'Abo was Nastassja Kinski; ha ha ha. Did anyone else? 🤔
What did she die of? She couldnt have been that old
My personal favorite is definitely Sean Connery and Pierce brosnan. But Rodger Moore was still great, a view to a kill is my favorite of his.
I absolutely cannot stand the Craig era. I haven't really seen any of the movies very much and I have no desire to. I did however watch golden eye and the world is not enough, and those are excellent Bond films. Can we just go back to that era please
Interesting how a Lincoln Continental turns into a Mustang😂
